We are on the threshold of a new era in carbon markets. Are you ready?
We are excited to host the EIF Carbon Markets Congress for the third time. This year, on November 5–6, 2026, we will gather in Antalya, just days before the global climate community comes together in the same city for COP31, to discuss the future of carbon markets.
Over the past two years, carbon markets have not simply grown; they have been fundamentally reshaped. As Türkiye takes critical steps toward implementing its National Emissions Trading System, the European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) is already directly influencing companies’ day-to-day decision-making. Meanwhile, voluntary carbon markets are undergoing a significant transformation driven by a more holistic approach to quality, high-integrity principles, and emerging demand mechanisms. The expanding scope of CORSIA and accelerating international carbon cooperation under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement are further positioning carbon markets as an indispensable component of global trade.
Carbon markets can no longer be viewed merely as an extension of environmental policy. Competitiveness, export strategies, investment decisions, access to finance, and corporate transformation are all becoming directly linked to the carbon economy. As the impacts of climate change become increasingly tangible, the transition to a low-carbon economy is no longer a choice; it is emerging as a fundamental condition for economic resilience.
It is precisely for this reason that we are organizing the EIF Carbon Markets Congress 2026 in Antalya ahead of COP31. Our objective is not only to assess current developments, but also to accurately interpret the global agenda ahead of COP31, discuss the role Türkiye can play in this transformation, and foster a shared vision between the public and private sectors.
As CMAT (Carbon Market Association Türkiye), our goal is to strengthen Türkiye’s knowledge base and implementation capacity in carbon markets, establish lasting partnerships with international stakeholders, and create platforms that will help position our country as a strong player in the global carbon economy.
The EIF Carbon Markets Congress is more than a conference; it is a platform for collaboration that brings together public institutions, international organizations, investors, project developers, industry leaders, and the financial sector around the same table.
I warmly invite you to join us at the EIF Carbon Markets Congress, taking place in Antalya on November 5–6, 2026, to discuss the future of carbon markets, collectively assess the global agenda ahead of COP31, and contribute to Türkiye’s transition toward a low-carbon economy.
Let us come together ahead of COP31 to shape the carbon economy of the future.
We are pleased to invite you to one of Turkey's leading carbon events, the EIF Carbon Markets Congress, taking place from November 5–6, 2026. This year, we will once again gather to discuss the latest developments and innovations in the sector.
As Carbon Market Association Turkiye (CMAT), we are working to mitigate the effects of global warming. There are significant reasons for us to remain hopeful on this path. The record growth in clean energy and the increasing demand for these resources indicate our progress in this field.
The EIF Carbon Markets Congress offers a significant opportunity to discuss the latest developments and future projections in the sector with leading domestic and international actors. The sessions organized within the congress aim to provide a comprehensive perspective on carbon and other environmental commodity markets.
We invite you to join us at the EIF Carbon Markets Congress to share the latest developments in the sector. We will be pleased to see you among us at this important event, which will shed light on the development of carbon markets.
